The National Trade Show

On December 9, 2021, REACH participated in the National Online Trade Show, joining hundreds of VEI firms from across the U.S. in an event dedicated to VEI Commerce. By the tradeshow’s end, the firm interacted with about 39 customers representing 34 other firms and earned a revenue of about $219,000 (which exceeded expectations for $200,000.00).

Compared to the last tradeshow, the firm did earn less than the $359,621.20 of before. However, there were notable improvements: customers could now buy products and services on REACH’s mobile and desktop websites, and a sell-off competition occurred between REACH and it’s sister-firm Ran Energy. These additions greatly benefited both REACH customers and employees. For instance, the website’s new buy buttons allowed purchases to be done automatically, eliminating the need for employees to manually place transactions. Plus, the sell-off, which involved REACH and Ran Energy employees attracting buyers within their high school, allowed REACH to increase tradeshow sales. Given the benefits received, REACH will continue to pursue website updates and sell-off competitions in the future.

Additionally, the firm will also try to increase employee participation and preparation in future tradeshows. Currently, there are issues with employees outside of executive officers feeling left out in tradeshow activities, and some employees do not know what to do. Thus, work must be done to create both positions for employees to take during trade shows and educational material that will cover the ins-and-outs of navigating VEI’s online tradeshows.

Overall, with December ending and the new year beginning, REACH can look back at the National Tradeshow with pride of its successes. Problems are present, however, knowing the ingenuity of its staff, REACH will take the measures need to make 2022 its best year.
